About
Elaine is a Norwich based artist, working in a wide range of mediums. She studied graphic design and typography at Great Yarmouth College of Art in the early 80s, but disconnected from the creative arts world for nearly 20 years to raise a family. An adult education class in watercolours in 2003 reignited her passion for painting and she hasn't looked back since, constantly challenging herself to try new mediums and techniques; developing her skills in oils, pencils, pastels, acrylics and lino printing. To continue the advancement of her skills and technical knowledge, she studied as an adult learner and achieved a merit in a L2 Diploma in Art and Design at the University of the Arts London (UAL) in 2022.

Elaine's realistic style in oils has brought her success and the more recent inclusion of graphic abstract work has allowed her more creative freedom and the ability to express her love of shape and tone. She takes commissions, including abstracts and pet portraits, and is happy to work with clients to create bespoke works that incorporate both the clients' requirements and the artist's unique vision.
